Swedish massage gently relieves stress and tension in your muscles and will leave you oozing with a sense of wellbeing. It achieves this because of the general benefits of massage: it improves your circulation, so your organs and skin get more oxygen. It moves fluid through your lymphatic system. It encourages digestion and restful sleep. This treatment uses rhythmic kneading, pressing, rubbing, and tapotement of the muscles, light stretching, hot towels and optional aromatherapy to soothe aches and improve mobility.

Massage therapy after the first 13 weeks of pregnancy is a fantastic way to keep expecting moms relaxed and comfortable as their growing bodies adjust and change. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling).
Deep Tissue and Sports Massage
Deep tissue massage concentrates on the deep layers of muscle and fascia in the body by using deep pressure, passive stretching, and slow, firm strokes. Many athletes and active people enjoy deep tissue massage as part of a regular maintenance regimen. Sports massages are tailored to preparing for or recovering from a specific activity or event.
Deep tissue massage focuses on the muscles underneath that first superficial layer. It may or may not involve deep pressure, depending on the client's preference and goals for the session. The goal in deep tissue massage is to break down adhesions in the muscles and connective tissues that are causing pain, inflammation and limited range of motion. Massage should never be painful, but there can be some amount of discomfort and intense sensation during deep tissue work. Deep tissue therapy certainly isn't for everyone, but the people who love it wouldn't have their massage therapy any other way!

Vacuum Cupping Therapy
In most massage modalities, muscle tension is released by using movement and pressure. With the cupping therapy method, the skin, tissue, and muscles are instead pulled upwards by suction, separating adhesions and enhancing circulation. Sometimes cups can be applied to specific trigger points to provide instant, lasting pain relief. Other times, the therapist can use oil or lotion to glide the cups along the skin, releasing fascial restrictions in the top layer and allowing for deeper work.
Massage cupping therapy also utilizes different oils so that the cup can glide easily across the back of the patient. Cupping helps with pain management and stress reduction.
Thai and Shiatsu Massage
Acupressure and stretching techniques promote balance, healing, and relief from tension.
Shiatsu and Thai massage are forms of therapeutic bodywork based on the principles of traditional Asian health maintenance, viewing physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual life as a unified whole. This bodywork encourages balance and healing through compression, joint rotation, acupressure and stretching to nourish vital tissues and stimulate the digestive, endocrine and nervous systems. Fluidity, rhythm, focus, quality of touch, and sensitivity to the individual’s needs are primary.
Shiatsu is based upon the principles of Chinese and Japanese meridians of energy and utilizes pressure on acupuncture points to accomplish health goals. Thai massage has much in common with yoga asanas and emphasizes meditative rhythmic hand pressure and deep stretches. I typically incorporate both modalities in each massage.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on healing modality that utilizes the wave-like rhythmic pulse that goes through the entire body to . The goal is to release compression in those areas which alleviates stress and pain.
Cranial sacral therapy seeks to restore the natural position of the bones and can decrease stress from chronic injuries as well as provide relief from migraine headaches, neck and back pain, temporomandibular joint disorder (the inflammation of the joint that connects the lower jaw to the skull) and more.
